Highlights of Chapter Meeting April 18th 2001

HIGHLIGHTS OF DAV CHAPTER #13 MEETING ON Apr. 18th 2001

Chapter 13 presents check for $500.00 to the Transportation Program (which provides free transportation, to all veterans, to and from VA hospitals).

Under sickness and distress portion of the meeting it was reported 3 members had been hospitalized. Get well cards which were signed by all members present were sent to each of the 3 chapter members.

The nominating committee presented a suggested slate of candidates for the upcoming annual election of officers (May 15th). Additional nominations can be made at the annual election on May 15th. at the Stamford Government Center.

Additional preparations for the annual DAV State Convention were made. The convention will be help at the Ramada in Meriden Connecticut on May 4th, 5th ad 6th. All chapter members are invited to attend the meetings. The opening session will be called to order at 1:30 pm on May 4th. Friday afternoon meetings will feature several guest speakers from Connecticut Dept. of Veterans Affairs and guest speakers from the Veterans Administration.
