Placing Flags on Graves of Veterans

Kaeel (4 yrs.old ) and Sheaquan (9 yrs. old) look at a map marking the graves of veterans as help their grandfather, chapter #13 commander, Buffert Brooks and chapter member Pasquale Marro place American flags on the graves of veterans for the Memorial Day holiday.

$3,500 donated to Transportation Program

Stamford DAV Chapter #13 recently donated a check for $500 to the Connecticut Transportation Program to help provide free transportation to veterans needing rides to and from Connecticut VA medical facilities, bringing the chapter's total donation, since the start of the program, to $3,500.

Brooks elected State 3th Jr. Vice Commander

At the annual DAV state convention in Meriden Chapter commander Buffert Brooks was unamimously elected as 4th Jr. Vice Commander for the 2001-2002 year by delegates representing the 11,000 members of the Connecticut DAV.

$100 to Newington VA Hospital
